Hotel Details

Location

Set in the heart of Madrid, an 8-minute walk to Plaza Mayor and 800 metres from Mercado San Miguel.
The property sits between two metro stations - La Latina and Tirso de Molina - giving direct access across the city and to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (14 km away). Most major landmarks, including Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía, and the Prado Museum, are within a 10-15 minute walk. The surrounding area is lively with a high concentration of tapas bars, such as Taberna Antonio Sánchez and La Parilla De Galicia, both only 300 metres away. For grocery shopping, there are supermarkets within a few blocks. The neighbourhood is central and walkable, making a car unnecessary for sightseeing, though late at night some side streets can feel quiet.

Accommodation

Private wooden capsules fitted with a comfortable mattress, soundproofing, personal electronics, and a large locker.
Each module is a self-contained wooden capsule with a sliding door, soundproof walls, and a private locker inside. The double modules have a folding bed; when open, the bed occupies nearly the entire floor space, so opening a suitcase requires turning sideways or using the podium outside. Single modules are similarly compact but manageable for one person. Each module is equipped with air conditioning, USB and power sockets, a pop-up power strip, a reading light and ambient lighting, and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. Mattresses and pillows are consistently described as very comfortable. Bed linen, towels, and bath sheets are provided. Some modules are located in the basement, which can feel darker and rely fully on mechanical ventilation rather than a window. Modules on the upper bunk in shared rooms require climbing a ladder, and the wooden frame can transmit movement noise from the person above.

Dining

No full breakfast is served, but the shared kitchen offers free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, jam, and sweets 24/7.
The property does not run a restaurant or serve a cooked breakfast, but the communal kitchen is well stocked for self-catering: it includes a large refrigerator, microwave, cookware, utensils, and a water dispenser. A coffee shop and snack bar are located on-site for additional small purchases. For proper meals, dozens of restaurants and tapas bars are within a three-minute walk, including Taberna el Sur (0.5 km), La Parilla De Galicia (0.5 km), and Taberna Antonio Sánchez (0.5 km). The shared kitchen closes overnight for cleaning but is otherwise available for independent cooking. There is no oven or stove - only microwave-based meal preparation - so guests who want hot cooked meals should plan to eat out or buy prepared food to reheat.

Wellness and Leisure

Free daily activities include walking tours, movie nights, and pub crawls, plus a shared lounge. No pool, gym, or spa.
Leisure offerings are social rather than fitness-oriented. Free evening entertainment includes movie nights, walking tours, pub crawls, and temporary art galleries, all of which meet in the shared lounge or depart from the property. A dedicated board games collection and children's indoor play area are available for younger travellers. There is no gym, pool, sauna, or spa on site. The property is within walking distance of several parks and squares - Plaza Mayor and the gardens of the Royal Palace are each about 10 minutes away on foot. For muscle relief after a day of walking, the nearby Taberna Antonio Sánchez area offers a handful of small gyms and yoga studios (not affiliated with the hotel).

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Use the free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out to explore central Madrid hands-free.

  • 02

If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as the sliding wooden doors and thin walls do not block noise from neighbouring modules.

  • 03

Book a module with a private toilet if you prefer not to use the shared gender-neutral bathrooms.

  • 04

Plan for limited space: the capsules are compact, so pack light and expect to take turns opening suitcases.
