MOON HOTEL BROOKLYN, New York

The hotel provides a practical base for transit and airport access, situated on a main road with 24-hour activity. The neighborhood is within walking distance of several 24-hour delis and shops. The area is considered one of the more challenging in Brooklyn for safety at night, especially for solo travelers or those unfamiliar with the area. The 12-minute walk to the subway connects directly to Manhattan and other boroughs, though driving is not recommended due to limited, paid parking. Landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum are within 10-12 km.

The rooms are very small, with limited space for two people and luggage. The bathroom is exceptionally compact, with a small sink and tight clearance around the toilet. Bed sizes are full or smaller, and some beds have been reported as uneven or with broken frames. Standard amenities include free toiletries, a work desk, and an alarm clock. The property has a lift, so upper-floor rooms are accessible. Noise from hallways and neighboring rooms can be significant due to gaps around the door. Rooms facing the street may experience more ambient noise.

No breakfast or on-site dining services are provided. For a quick meal or snacks, a few 24-hour deli stores with grills are located one block away. The 24-hour reception may sell drinks behind the counter. For more varied dining, the surrounding area has several fast-food and takeout options within walking distance.

Services include a 24-hour front desk with English-speaking staff, who can assist with baggage storage for later flights on check-out day. The property has CCTV in common areas and outside, plus fire extinguishers and smoke alarms. WiFi is available free in all areas. Housekeeping is provided daily. The property does not offer on-site parking; the nearest paid lot is across the street ($35/day, cash only). No hair dryer, iron, or ironing board are provided in the rooms. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, and this policy is enforced.
