Northstar is directly across the street from the Village Marketplace and the Whistler Village stroll, placing you near Fresh Street Market, a liquor store, and multiple dining options including McDonald's and Tim Hortons. The Whistler Blackcomb Gondolas and ski lifts are a 5-10 minute walk or a quick ride on the free shuttle that stops right across the street. Whistler Golf Course is within a 15-minute walk. The location is quiet yet close enough to enjoy all village amenities without the noise, offering easy access to scenic trails as well.

Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, and often baking essentials. Units include a gas fireplace, comfortable beds, a seating area with a dining table, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Two-bedroom units provide two bathrooms, while one-bedroom units have one. Some units have been recently renovated. Air conditioning is not available in all units; select units have a portable A/C unit in the living room or master bedroom, and fans are used in upstairs bedrooms. Ground floor options exist, and two-bedroom townhomes have stairs inside the unit.

Dining is entirely self-catered or available at the many restaurants across the street in the Village Marketplace and along the Village stroll, including Tandoori Grill Indian Cuisine, Pasta Lupino, Hunter Gather, and more. Grocery deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge. The well-stocked kitchens and private BBQs make it easy to prepare full meals.

The complex features a large, heated outdoor pool with a shallow end, sun loungers, and a hot tub. Both are open all year from 10 am to 10 pm. A changing room is available beside the hot tub. Closest unit to the pool is unit 30. No spa or wellness centre is on-site.

Free private parking is available on-site without reservation, but only one spot per unit. Extra parking can be found off-site for a fee. Secure bike storage is provided in the underground parking area. Management is off-site but reachable by phone, and check-in is via a keypad code sent in advance. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. Laundry facilities include a washing machine and dryer in each apartment. The complex is non-smoking throughout and has family rooms, heating, carpeted floors, and safety features such as fire extinguishers and smoke alarms.
