PALAZZO ROSELLI CECCONI, Florence

The hotel sits in a quiet alley in the Santa Croce district, just off the tourist-heavy streets but close to everything: Ponte Vecchio is less than 10 minutes on foot, Campo di Marte Train Station is 2 km away, and many restaurants are within 0.5 km. The area is secure and walkable, ideal for exploring without a car. Paid airport shuttle for €65, or a taxi from the airport has a flat fee of €22 plus €1 per luggage. The historic lift and the perfume shop in the courtyard add character to the arrival experience.

Room types range from standard rooms with a shower or bath to executive rooms with a Turkish bath (no bathtub in that category) to suites with a 360° city-view tower accessed via a steep spiral staircase - suitable for couples, not for those with mobility issues or for carrying drinks. Some rooms have parquet floors, soundproofing, and a seating area. Beds are either king or queen size; bunk beds are available in triple rooms. Rooms are generally spacious and clean, though some have limited natural light. No rooms have a private balcony, but a shared terrace is off the breakfast area. Daily housekeeping is free; laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing service are available for an additional charge.

Breakfast is a continental-style buffet with pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice. It is served on a charming roof terrace in good weather. The breakfast room also has a stylish bar setup, but the bar is not in operation in the evening - only water, tea, and coffee are available after hours. For full meals, there are numerous restaurants and cafes within a 3-minute walk. Guests needing a varied breakfast or a hot à la carte option should plan accordingly. Welcome drinks and in-room breakfast are available for an additional fee.
