BLUE SEA LANZAROTE PALM, Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote)

Rooms are self-catering apartments with a lounge area featuring a sofa bed and dining table, a bedroom with two twin beds pushed together, and a modern walk-in shower. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchenette with electric kettle, cookware, utensils, fridge and microwave - ideal for preparing light meals. Air conditioning is only in the bedroom and works with a 15-minute timer. Upstairs rooms (third floor, no lift) offer sea and mountain views but require climbing two flights of stairs. Some ground-floor rooms back onto bin storage areas and can experience early-morning noise from 5:00 AM collection. The rooms are spacious but the overall finish is dated and basic, with some reports of doors that do not close or seal fully and bathroom drainage smells. Beds are generally comfortable and the shower is powerful. A flat-screen TV with some English channels and an AM/FM alarm clock are provided. Rooms with pool views receive good sun, while others may have limited direct sunlight depending on location.

The main pool is large, unheated and open all year, with a separate children's pool with a shallow end. Sun loungers are plentiful and widely spaced around the pool area, though shade is scarce - most umbrellas cover only a small portion of the loungers. A small solarium on an upper level offers additional sunbathing space but also has very limited shade. The pool area includes a public bath, open-air bath and solarium. A pool bar serves drinks and snacks during opening hours, with towels provided (€1 deposit + €5 cash deposit). A pool attendant is present during the day. There are no indoor leisure facilities such as a gym, spa or sauna. Daytime entertainment includes water zumba, darts, boules, shuffleboard, pool, quizzes, cocktail demonstrations and a slide game. Evening entertainment runs 21:00-22:30 with bingo, karaoke and occasional live acts - all held outside at the pool bar. No indoor entertainment space exists.

The 24-hour reception staff handle check-in, key cards, late arrivals and general queries. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property but the signal is weak in rooms and strongest near reception and the restaurant. A laundry service is available. Cots can be requested for babies and toddlers. The pool/beach towel rental system requires a €5 cash deposit plus €1 per towel - towels can be changed as needed. The property has a lift, though some rooms are only reachable via stairs. Luggage storage after check-out is available but not secured - bags are left in the reception area without a lockable room. There is no designated shower facility for late departures; the only option is an outdoor hose near the pool. Parking is on the street near the hotel and generally easy to find. No airport shuttle or transfer is provided by the hotel. The complex is non-smoking indoors, with designated smoking areas around the pool bar.
