PANGOO SHINAGAWA, Tokyo

The apartments sit on a hill about 5-10 minutes on foot from Shinagawa Station, a major rail hub with direct access to Haneda Airport (11 km), Narita Express, Shinkansen, and lines to Shibuya, Yokohama, and other districts. The walk involves a steep incline, so consider using the Konan exit and a taxi with heavy luggage. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with Takanawa Park, the Museum of Logistics (2-minute walk), and several restaurants and convenience stores within a few hundred meters. The area is safe and well-lit, and the building has a lift.

Units range from studios to one-bedroom apartments that can sleep up to 5 people, with combinations of double beds, twin beds, and sofa beds. Each apartment includes air conditioning (separate units in bedroom and living room), a washing machine with dryer, ironing facilities, a flat-screen TV, and a balcony. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and basic cookware. Some rooms also offer a bathtub and a dining table. While the floor plans are relatively spacious for Tokyo, the furnishings and carpets show wear; requesting a room on a higher floor, away from the road, provides better quiet. Balconies are included in many units but smoking is not permitted on them. Rooms are generally functional and well-suited for short or extended stays, with good storage and a vacuum cleaner provided.

The residential area offers a quiet environment with Takanawa Park less than 1 km away for a short stroll. The Aqua Park Shinagawa is also close, providing an aquarium and recreational options. Within a few minutes on foot, guests can reach several restaurants and convenience stores. The building itself has no on-site spa, gym, or pool, but the proximity to Shinagawa Station and its surrounding amenities compensates for this.

The property operates with no on-site staff; all communication is via email or messaging. Check-in is through a self-service kiosk using a barcode and photo ID, with clear instructions provided before arrival. WiFi is free and available in all rooms, suitable for general use. The building has a lift and key-access security. Safety features include fire extinguishers and smoke alarms. Payment is accepted via American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. There is no parking on-site; paid parking is available at the nearby Prince Hotel. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are in each apartment, and a vacuum cleaner is also provided. The response from management is generally quick when issues arise, and early access to the room is sometimes possible before the official 16:00 check-in.
