The hostel sits at 310 S. Halsted Street, one minute north of the UIC-Halsted Blue Line station, providing direct rail service to O'Hare and the city centre. Union Station is a 0.5 km walk, Amtrak and Greyhound stations are just a few blocks away, and McCormick Place is 6 km to the southeast (15-20 minutes by car or 35-45 minutes by public transport). The Art Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park are both about 3 km from the property. The neighborhood is on Historic Route 66 and lined with Greek restaurants, Italian eateries, and bars within a block, making it ideal for walking to dinner or entertainment without needing a car.

Room options include private singles, doubles, family rooms (one double plus one bunk bed set), and dormitories (including 4-bed and 8-bed configurations). All bathrooms are shared, located off hallways on each floor, and have been recently modernised; they are cleaned regularly and include body wash and hand soap. Dorm rooms provide lockers (bring your own lock) and some have seating areas. Family rooms include a wardrobe, parquet floors, heating, and air conditioning. Single rooms include a desk and seating area. A small number of rooms have sealed windows that cannot be opened, which can make the space feel warm in summer-a portable fan is recommended. There is no elevator, and the top floor is the third floor.

The hostel does not have an on-site restaurant or serve breakfast, but the shared kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric griddle, George Foreman grill, Crockpot, and rice cooker, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. Complimentary coffee and tea are available around the clock in the common area. Within a 0.5 km radius, the Greektown and West Loop area offers numerous dining options including The Happy Crab, Artopolis, Meli Cafe, Spectrum Bar & Grill, Philly's Best, and Giordano's at the nearest corner, famous for deep-dish pizza. Many restaurants and cafes are open late, providing ample alternatives for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The hostel does not offer a pool, spa, gym, or sauna. For passive recreation, the property provides a shared lounge/TV area and board games/puzzles. Bicycle rental is available for an additional charge, and the surrounding Greektown and West Loop neighbourhoods are excellent for walking and exploring. Beach access is possible but transportation to the lakefront is required.
