Situated on the 5th floor of a secure building, the pension places you at the historic heart of Barcelona. The metro station exit is directly under the entrance, connecting you to the entire city. Las Ramblas is a 5-minute walk, and Barceloneta Beach is 1 km away (10 minutes by bus or 15-20 minutes on foot). The cathedral towers are visible from many rooms, and the Gothic Quarter's narrow streets, boutiques, and tapas bars are literally outside the door. The area is well-lit and safe, with a self-service laundromat and several bakeries nearby.

Accommodation is practical and efficiently designed. Room sizes are typical for central Barcelona (approx. 11 m2 for the smallest doubles), but storage solutions include under-bed luggage space, hanging hooks, and shelves. Beds use viscoelastic mattresses and pillows that are both firm and comfortable. Daily housekeeping is thorough: beds are made, towels replaced daily, and sheets changed every two to three days. Some rooms offer a balcony with a small table and chair overlooking the Gothic rooftops. The building has two lifts, and the 24-hour reception adds security and flexibility.

Pension Casa Blanca does not serve breakfast or meals, but the Cappuccino chain café on the ground floor offers coffee, pastries, and light breakfast items from early morning. The surrounding streets of the Gothic Quarter and El Born are filled with restaurants, tapas bars, and bakeries - options within 300 metres include Arcano, Cappuccino, Dunnes Irish Bar, Evinia, Plaza de Angel 5, Parellada, Dolceria De La Colmena, and Sagardi BCN Gotic. A self-service laundromat and general stores are also nearby for self-catering basics.

The property does not offer leisure facilities such as a pool, spa, or fitness room. However, the location compensates: Barceloneta Beach is within 1 km (10 minutes by bus or 15-20 minutes walking), and the waterfront promenade, port, and marina are a similar distance. All major attractions, including the Picasso Museum, Cathedral, Las Ramblas, and the Gothic Quarter, are reachable on foot. The metro station at the doorstep provides easy access to the rest of Barcelona for cultural or recreational outings.

All rooms include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, fridge, and a private bathroom (with shower, hairdryer, shampoo, and shower gel). Some rooms have a private toilet located outside the room. The 24-hour reception allows late check-ins and early departures without issue. Luggage storage is available from 08:00 before check-in and after check-out (bags can be left until 17:00, sometimes with the key). Parking is nearby but expensive (€32/day) and unreserved. Pets are not allowed, and payment is by Visa or MasterCard. The building is secure with two lifts and fire extinguishers.
