PENZION SKOLICKA, Prague

The pension sits in a calm residential neighbourhood on the north-eastern edge of Prague, just off the main motorway. A bus stop is directly in front of the building, and the Prosek metro station (line C) is a 5-8 minute walk - allowing a car-free trip to the city centre in about 20 minutes. O2 Arena is a 10-minute bus ride away, and Letňany Airport (used for concerts) is a 10-minute walk. Vaclav Havel Airport is 18 km away (roughly 30 minutes by car). The surrounding area offers a few restaurants and a shopping centre within walking distance, and free on-site parking makes the location ideal for transit stays or event visitors.

Both double and twin rooms are simply furnished but practical for short stays. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, a wardrobe, a private entrance, and carpeted floors. Rooms facing the inner courtyard are noticeably quieter, while those overlooking the brewery terrace can experience noise until closing time (23:00). The attic-level rooms lack air conditioning and become very hot during summer - bringing a personal fan is advisable. Some fixtures are older, but the beds and linen are clean and comfortable. A small table and chair provide a basic workspace. There is no in-room kettle or fridge.

The ground floor houses Minipivovar Beznoska, a traditional restaurant and microbrewery open daily from 11:00 to 22:00-23:00. It offers European dishes with an emphasis on fresh beer brewed on site. The restaurant has a terrace popular in warmer months. Prices are reasonable and the kitchen serves lunch and dinner. For early mornings, no breakfast is provided, but the bus-stop vicinity has a small shop and a café within walking distance. A few other dining options are within a 5-10 minute walk, but the brewery's own menu is sufficient for most evening meals.

Leisure options are limited to outdoor seating areas: a garden, a terrace, and an inner courtyard. These spaces offer a place to unwind with a drink from the bar below. The property does not have a pool, gym, or dedicated wellness facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and public areas.

Free public parking is available on site without reservation, including accessible and street parking spots. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. Pets are allowed on request for a daily charge of 100 CZK (approx. 4 EUR). Luggage storage can be arranged - bikes can also be stored in the entrance area or room. Check-in is quick, handled at the ground-floor restaurant until 23:00; late arrivals should call ahead for key collection. Staff are friendly and responsive to requests for extra towels or bedding. There is no lift - rooms are on the first floor, and luggage must be carried up stairs.
