POD HOTEL, Montreal

The location is the property's strongest asset, with Clock Tower Beach and the Old Port just a short stroll away. The nearest metro station is nearby, providing easy access across Montréal. Montréal/Saint-Hubert Airport is 15 km away. The surrounding area is rich in restaurants and attractions, though some side streets can feel isolated at night. Paid parking is available at a nearby lot for about CAD 20 per day.

Pods are designed to provide more privacy than standard hostel beds, but they are not soundproof and have only a curtain for a door-no locking mechanism. Rooms are located in a windowless basement, which can feel stuffy and warm. Only one shower and one toilet serve all guests on the floor, which can lead to waits and cleanliness issues. The mattresses are thin foam, and some pods have broken features. Bring earplugs and an eye mask for better sleep. Lockers are available but are small and may not fit large backpacks.

The shared kitchen includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, and some cookware, but cutlery, plates, and pots are minimal, and no dish soap is provided. Many guests prefer to eat at the numerous cafés and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, including Muru Crepe, Salumi Vino, and Le Bremner. Breakfast is not served, so self-catering or dining out is necessary.

The hotel provides a billiards table and board games for guest use, as well as a fitness/spa locker room (no spa facilities). In the surrounding area, visitors can enjoy ice-skating at nearby rinks and boating activities in the Old Port. The property also has a small garden and a shared lounge/TV area.

Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 12:00; express and VIP check-in/out are possible. The front desk is not always staffed, so contact may require a phone call. Luggage storage is free, and lockers are provided but are small. Daily housekeeping is provided; however, shared bathrooms and common areas may not be maintained to a high standard. Laundry service is available for an extra fee. The property has 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and is non-smoking throughout. No pets are allowed. Payment is accepted via major credit cards; a deposit is not needed if paying by card.
