Porta da Mar sits in the Castello district, a quieter area that still feels central. The Arsenale waterbus stop is a 2-minute walk, connecting directly to the airport (Alilaguna Blue Line, about 1 hour 15 minutes) and major landmarks. St. Mark's Square and the Ducal Palace are around 1 km away, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk along the waterfront. The area is well-served with restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket on nearby Via Garibaldi. The property is on the first floor with no elevator, and Venice is entirely car-free, with parking only at the mainland lots.

Rooms are large and recently renovated, featuring fine wooden floors and modern design.
