RESIDENZA LA DUCHESSA DELUXE ROOMS, Venice

The guest house is a short walk from the Giardini and Arsenale vaporetto stops, making airport access (Alilaguna blue line, €15) and travel to Lido (10 minutes) straightforward. With a location score of 9.5, the property sits on a quiet side street just off Via Garibaldi, a lively local street with many restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. The Biennale exhibition grounds are within a 5-minute walk. St. Mark's Square is a 12-15 minute walk, offering a pleasant route away from the busiest tourist crowds.

Rooms feature a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a private entrance, a tea/coffee maker, a wardrobe, and free toiletries. Some units include a balcony, slippers, or a bidet. The rooms are described as spacious, beautifully decorated in Venetian style, and spotlessly clean. The beds are notably comfortable, and the air conditioning works well even in hot weather. Triple rooms offer a double and a single bed, suitable for families with one child (children 3+ pay as adults). Road-facing rooms are very quiet due to the side-street location.

The property does not offer a restaurant or bar. However, Via Garibaldi, just 20 metres away, provides numerous cafes, bakeries, and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Popular options within a short walk include Ristorante Biennale, Bisutto, and Majer- Via Garibaldi. A welcome bottle of prosecco and local treats are provided in the room on arrival, with snacks and coffee capsules replenished daily.

The property offers private check-in/check-out and a safety deposit box. Luggage storage is available before check-in (from 15:00) and after check-out (10:00) to allow for late-day exploration. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms fresh and well-stocked. The hosts (Sara and Riccardo) are known for a seamless, friendly welcome, providing maps and personalised restaurant recommendations. The property has no lift but staff assist with heavy luggage. A communal outdoor seating area is provided. No breakfast, parking, or pets are available.
