QUALITY INN & SUITES CHATTANOOGA WEST NEAR LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Chattanooga

The hotel is located at Interstate 24, Exit 174, placing it within a short drive to Lookout Mountain (5 km), Ruby Falls, Rock City (11 km), the Tennessee Aquarium (11 km), and downtown Chattanooga attractions (8-12 minutes). Public beach access and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (21 km) are also reachable by car. Five restaurants - including Jack's, Los 3 Amigos, Café & Toast, Waffle House, and New China Buffet - are within 0.5 km on foot, and a Walmart is directly adjacent. Free on-site parking is available but requires a reservation, which is practical for guests arriving by car. Those without a car will need rides or taxis for most sightseeing, as the area is not walkable to downtown.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and offers a rotating selection of hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, as well as cold options including cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, and biscuits. Coffee, apple juice, and orange juice are also available. Breakfast is generally reported as satisfying with good variety for the price point, though some find the selection basic. There is no on-site restaurant, bar, or room service. For lunch and dinner, five restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, including a Waffle House, Mexican (Los 3 Amigos), Vietnamese (Café & Toast), Chinese buffet, and Jack's. A Walmart adjacent to the hotel allows guests to buy groceries for use in the in-room kitchenettes.

The indoor pool is heated and open daily from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., making it usable year-round in all weather. However, reports indicate that the water temperature is sometimes inconsistent - some days it is warm, other days noticeably cold. The pool area itself has been described as clean at times, but also as having peeling paint and dirty windows. The pool is not very large, so it may feel crowded during busy periods. A fitness center and hot tub are also available on-site. There is no spa or wellness center beyond these facilities. For those looking to exercise outdoors, the location is near Lookout Mountain trails and public beach access, both within a short drive.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. On-site parking is free but requires a reservation - worth noting if arriving late. The hotel has an elevator (though some have noted it can be noisy and slow). The 24-hour front desk allows for late check-in, and express check-in/check-out are available. A business center with fax/photocopying is accessible at no extra charge. Luggage storage is free and useful if arriving before check-in. Daily housekeeping is provided free of charge, but quality varies; some rooms have been deeply cleaned while others show signs of neglect. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. Safety features include CCTV in common areas and outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key card access. Accessibility: accessible parking is available. No pets are allowed. The front desk staff attitude ranges from friendly and helpful to indifferent, but overall service is functional.
