RAMADA BY WYNDHAM BRONX, New York

The hotel sits just off I-95, providing quick car access to major highways and a 15-minute walk to the Baychester Avenue subway station for trains to Yankee Stadium (about 1 hour) and Central Park. The Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden are less than 11 km away. Fordham University is a 25-minute drive, and the seafood restaurants of City Island are 18 minutes by car. While the immediate neighbourhood is a mix of residential and commercial, secure on-site parking means a car is practical for moving around. Several fast-food and casual dining options are within 1-2 km. The area is generally safe, though late-night walking is best avoided; the hotel itself feels secure with 24-hour front desk presence.

The hotel offers double rooms and suites. Each unit has a 32-inch flat-screen TV with cable and HBO, a mini-refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, ironing facilities, and air conditioning/heating. Private bathrooms include a bath or shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The King Studio Suite is the only room type with a jetted tub (hot tub) - book this room if a spa bath is desired. Microwaves are not available in the rooms, but a communal microwave in the building is accessible 24/7. Noise from I-95 traffic and interior doors can be noticeable, especially in rooms facing the highway or near the lobby; travellers sensitive to noise should request a quieter room. Some rooms are located in the basement and may have limited natural light. Daily housekeeping is provided and generally keeps rooms clean and well-stocked.

On-site leisure facilities are limited: no swimming pool, sauna, or full spa. The primary wellness feature is the jetted tub in the King Studio Suite, which functions like a private hot tub. Additionally, the hotel provides free access to a partner gym located nearby (details available at the front desk). For outdoor recreation, Orchard Beach (with shops, playgrounds, and picnic areas) is a short drive away, and the Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden offer extensive walking and nature experiences. The hotel's quiet environment and daily housekeeping contribute to a restful stay.

Parking: free private parking on site without reservation - the lot is well-lit but can be tight for larger vehicles. WiFi is free and accessible throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and holds an ATM. Business facilities include a business centre, fax/photocopying, and a minimarket. Daily housekeeping is standard, and room service is available. The hotel is fully non-smoking, and no pets are allowed. Accessible parking spaces are provided, and the property has a lift. Cots can be requested for children at no extra cost. For guests needing laundry, dry cleaning services are offered. Note that the elevator has been reported as occasionally out of service; the two-storey building also has stair access.
