RED ROOF INN PLUS+ & SUITES KNOXVILLE WEST - CEDAR BLUFF, Knoxville

The hotel sits at the crossroads of I-40 and I-75, providing direct highway access for trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, University of Tennessee (15 minutes' drive), and Neyland Stadium (19 km). A dozen restaurants-including Outback Steakhouse, Chipotle, and Famous Dave's-are within a 0.5 km walk. Nearby shopping at Turkey Creek is 6 km away, and Parkwest Medical Center is just 1 km from the property. For outdoor enthusiasts, Petsafe Village Dog Park (4 km) features a pond and walking trails.

Room choices range from standard double and king rooms to two-bedroom suites and kitchenette suites with cook-top stoves. Several rooms feature balconies overlooking the pool area, while suites often include a separate bedroom, a seating area, and a full kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and tea/coffee maker. Rooms are described as spacious with large desks suitable for work. The overall decor is plain and basic rather than modern, but beds are noted as comfortable and rooms as clean. Hallway noise can carry, and some rooms facing the road may pick up traffic sounds. No elevator is available, so second-floor rooms require stair access.

Breakfast is included for all guests and offers a full hot buffet with rotating items including scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and hard-boiled eggs. The lobby provides free coffee 24 hours a day. No on-site restaurant or bar exists, but the hotel is within walking distance of numerous chain restaurants such as Carrabba's Italian Grill (0.3 km), Outback Steakhouse (0.3 km), and Cancun Mexican Grill and Bar (0.5 km). Vending machines with snacks and drinks are available in the hotel.

The seasonal outdoor pool usually opens in May and is surrounded by sun loungers and a pool deck with attractive evening lighting. A fence and pool cover provide added safety. The indoor hot tub is open year-round but closes at 9:00 PM daily. The fitness centre contains new cardio machines and an adjustable cable machine. The outdoor courtyard features a picnic area with BBQ grills, garden furniture, and a relaxing atmosphere. For leisure further afield, Dead Horse Lake Golf Course is a 7-minute drive away, and the University of Tennessee's sporting venues and nature trails are a short drive.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property at no cost. Parking is free and does not require reservations, with accessible spaces and limited space for buses or trucks. The business centre includes a small library that can serve as a conference room or office, and fax/photocopying is free. Guest laundry is available for a fee (one washer and one dryer). The front desk is staffed 24 hours, and an ATM is on site. The property is wheelchair accessible, with ADA-compliant rooms and accessible parking. Service animals are welcome, and one pet up to 36 kg stays free (second pet $15). Key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms are in place for security.
