RED ROOF INN PLUS NASHVILLE SOUTH - FAIRGROUNDS, Nashville

This hotel is set along I-65 in South Nashville, giving quick car access to the Fairgrounds (5 km), Belmont University (6 km), and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (7 km). Downtown Nashville's Broadway strip and Bridgestone Arena are about 8 km away, while the Grand Ole Opry is 15 km. Nashville International Airport is 9 km away. The immediate area includes a train yard and an industrial facility that can produce noise, especially on the street-facing and trackside rooms. Several restaurants including Waffle House and Cracker Barrel are within a short walk, and the One Hundred Oaks Mall is 2 km away.

Standard rooms are functional but compact, with a small seating area, parquet floors, and cable TV. The superior king room is 30% larger and includes a microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board, and coffee maker. All rooms have a private bathroom with either a bath or walk-in shower, plus a hairdryer. Noise is a frequent consideration: rooms facing the street pick up highway and industrial sounds, while those near the train yard hear squealing trains throughout the day. Some guests have reported stained bedding or furniture, though housekeeping is available daily for short stays. The property does not provide microwaves or fridges in standard rooms, and there is no closet in most units.

The hotel offers free on-site parking with no reservation needed, including accessible spaces for cars and vans. A 24-hour front desk handles check-in and queries; luggage storage is free, which is useful for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping applies for stays of 1-6 nights, shifting to weekly cleaning for stays of 7 nights or more. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. Vending machines offer drinks and snacks. The property also provides free coffee in the lobby and free expanded cable with HBO. Business services such as fax/photocopying are free. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible rooms, raised toilets with grab rails, and accessible routes from the entrance to guestrooms and registration.
