RED ROOF INN PLUS+ ST. AUGUSTINE, St. Augustine

The hotel sits right off Interstate 95, making it easy to reach for road travelers. It is a 3-minute drive from St. Augustine Premium Outlets and about 10 km (15 minutes in traffic) from the historic downtown area, including Castillo de San Marcos, Flagler College, and the Spanish Quarter Museum. Jacksonville International Airport is 69 km away. While the immediate area is commercial with several chain restaurants (Denny's, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday, McDonald's, Lemongrass Asian Bistro, Sonny's BBQ) within a 0.5 km walk, the property is also a short drive to the beach (30 minutes). Sightseeing trolleys offer pickup at the hotel for easy access to the historic district, though no airport shuttle is available. Parking is free and on-site, with no reservation needed, and the lot is shared with Ruby Tuesday.

Rooms are described as spacious and come with a private bathroom (bath or shower), free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Wheelchair-accessible rooms with walk-in showers are available. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, a coffee maker, a seating area with a desk, parquet floors, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. A mini-fridge is standard in all rooms, but a microwave is only available in premium rooms - request one at booking if needed. Some rooms feature a private entrance. The property is a two-story motel-style building with exterior corridors; there is no elevator, and the bottom floor is subject to availability. Road-facing rooms may experience some traffic noise, while rooms facing the pool and courtyard tend to be quieter. The rooms are older but generally well-maintained, though some have reported inconsistent cleanliness. The lock on the door may require the deadbolt for full security.

The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. A continental breakfast (6:00-9:00 AM) has been offered in the past but its availability fluctuates - confirm at the front desk upon arrival. Free coffee is available in the lobby. For meals, several chain restaurants are within easy walking distance: Denny's (0.5 km), Taco Bell (0.5 km), Cracker Barrel (0.5 km), Ruby Tuesday (0.5 km), McDonald's (0.5 km), Lemongrass Asian Bistro (0.5 km), and Sonny's BBQ (0.5 km). The parking lot connects directly to Ruby Tuesday, which has a full bar.

The property features an outdoor swimming pool open all year, accessible from sunrise to sunset. The pool has a shallow end and is equipped with sun loungers and pool/beach towels. It is generally described as clean and a pleasant spot for relaxation, though its condition (cleanliness and jet function) has varied over time. There is no spa, fitness centre, or whirlpool on-site.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. Free public parking is available on-site with no reservation needed; accessible parking is also provided. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out. Pets under 32 kg are allowed with no extra fee, but must not be left unattended. The hotel is wheelchair accessible, featuring a roll-in shower in accessible rooms, grab rails, and a raised toilet. Cots are available on request. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access. The property is 100% smoke-free. Accepted payment methods: American Express, Visa, Discover, MasterCard.
