RESIDENCIA UNIVERSITARIA RESA ERASMO, Madrid

The residence is within the university campus, making it ideal for academic visits. The Cantoblanco RENFE station is a 10-minute walk and provides a 20-minute train ride to Puerta del Sol; a single-zone C ticket costs around €4 each way. Driving is straightforward, with easy street parking available. Free on-site parking is possible but must be reserved. For those without a car, taxis can be arranged at reception. The compact nature of the campus means supermarkets, cafés, and the train station are all walkable within 10 minutes.

Rooms are offered as studios with either a double bed or two single beds, and some include a sofa-bed for one adult or two children. Each studio features a private bathroom, a seating area, a dining table, and a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Some studios come with a private terrace, parquet floors, and a flat-screen TV. Rooms are generally spacious, clean, and quiet, though basic. Bedding and towels are provided. The standard studio is well-suited for medium-length stays, though cookware and dishwashing supplies are limited.

A continental buffet breakfast is available daily, featuring bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, and hot drinks. It is included in most rates. No restaurant is on site, but the residence has a bar/lounge and a snack bar. A canteen serves affordable evening meals for around €7, which are often more substantial than breakfast. The university campus also has several cafés and a minimarket. Guests planning to self-cater should note the kitchenette includes basic utensils but no washing-up soap, salt, pepper, or oil.

The on-site fitness centre offers basic cardio and strength equipment, and is free for all residents. For leisure, the property has free table tennis and billiard tables. A games room with a foosball table is also available, and the residence has a shared lounge and sun terrace. There is no pool, spa, or squash/padel court. The facilities are straightforward, clean, and well-maintained, offering a useful break for university-related stays.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and reliable. The 24-hour front desk can assist with taxi bookings, tours, and concierge requests. Luggage storage is free. A minimarket on the premises sells basic supplies. Meeting/banquet facilities and fax/photocopying are available for an additional charge. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. Daily room cleaning is provided, with towel changes every three days. The property is fully non-smoking and has a lift. Accessible parking is available.
