The Key West Aquarium is a five-minute walk away, the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum is 1 km, and the Southernmost Point is 2 km. Despite the immediate access to bustling Duval Street, the villa lane itself is relatively quiet, though noise from late-night bars can still reach some villas. Parking is available on-site for $30 per night, making the villas feasible for car travellers, but walking covers most attractions. The location works equally well for groups, families and solo visitors wanting to explore without a car.

Rose Lane Villas offers six self-contained villas with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. One-bedroom units have one bathroom with access from the hallway; two-bedroom units have two full bathrooms. Kitchens include a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Each villa has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities and free Wi-Fi. Select villas feature a balcony or porch, some overlooking the pool. The property is older but clean and well-maintained. Some rooms have uneven floors, low water pressure or no working windows. Duval Street road-facing rooms can experience noise, while pool-facing rooms are quieter. The 3-bedroom Grand Villa is on two levels with a steep, narrow staircase. Cribs are available for an additional charge.

The centrepiece of the property is a shared, heated 20'x30' outdoor swimming pool open year-round. Sun loungers, beach chairs and umbrellas are available free of charge, and pool/beach towels are provided. The pool is cleaned daily and is well maintained.
