SALUS INN, Rome

The property is situated in the Esquilino district, 500 metres from Vittorio Emanuele Metro Station and Santa Maria Maggiore, and 2 km from the city centre. Termini station is a short walk away, providing direct rail connections to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports via shuttle buses and trains. The Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Trevi Fountain are within a 20-minute walk. The immediate vicinity around Termini is bustling and diverse, with a wide range of restaurants, including Korean, Chinese, and Italian options nearby. While the area can feel less secure at night due to the station's urban character, the property itself is secure, and many find it safe for return during daylight and evening hours.

Double, quadruple, and family rooms are available, each with a private bathroom featuring a shower and hairdryer. Rooms include a wardrobe, tiled floors, and a desk, with tea and coffee-making facilities. The family room sleeps up to 5 with single beds, and the quadruple room accommodates 4. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are generally clean and well-maintained. Street-facing rooms can experience significant noise from traffic and pedestrian activity, even on upper floors. Some rooms have experienced issues with the air conditioning system, where a portable unit was used - this can make noise and may not cool as effectively. Light sleepers may prefer to request a quieter room away from the street. Daily housekeeping is provided, including fresh towels.

The property does not offer an on-site restaurant or breakfast service. Instead, guests have access to a fully equipped shared kitchen and dining area, which includes a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and utensils - suitable for preparing simple meals. Complimentary coffee, tea, and sometimes pastries or water are provided. There is also a shared lounge area with seating. A wide selection of restaurants is within a 5-minute walk, including Italian trattorias, Asian cuisine, and pizzerias, making it easy to find evening meals or takeaway options.

The property focuses on providing practical accommodation for city exploration and does not include leisure amenities. The shared lounge with a TV and comfortable seating offers a relaxed space for socializing or planning the day. The location near Termini gives quick access to parks, such as the nearby garden area, and all of Rome's major cultural sites are easily reachable on foot or by metro.
