SAN DIEGO MARRIOTT MISSION VALLEY, San Diego

The property offers direct access to the MTS Green Line trolley, providing a convenient car-free link to downtown, the San Diego Zoo (6 km), Seaworld (15-minute drive), and Snapdragon Stadium (2 km). The Mission Valley Mall and a shopping center with fast-food options are within walking distance. While the hotel is near several freeways, rooms on the freeway-facing side can experience noticeable traffic noise - rooms on the opposite side are quieter. The beach is a 15-20-minute drive, and the University of San Diego and San Diego State are about 15 minutes away depending on traffic. Parking on site costs US$38 per night, and the area is more practical with a car or trolley than on foot for many attractions.

Each air-conditioned room is decorated in soothing beige tones and includes a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a safe, a mini-fridge, and a tea and coffee maker. The private bathrooms are designed with walk-in showers and free toiletries; all have been renovated to stand-in showers only with no bathtubs - the shower doors may not close completely, causing some water on the floor. King rooms are slightly more spacious and may include a small sofa bed (upon availability), while double queen rooms do not. Rooms have low popcorn ceilings and compact layouts. The closet is located inside the bathroom, which can steam up after a shower. The air conditioning is motion-sensor-activated and may cycle on and off, making the room feel inconsistently cool. Connecting doors to adjacent rooms can pass through noise from neighbors. Freeway-facing rooms are louder; requesting a room on the opposite side improves sleep quality.

Breakfast is available for purchase from 7:00 to 11:00 daily, with a Continental, American, or buffet option that includes a made-to-order omelet station - a popular choice. For enhanced breakfast offerings, M Club access is available to elite Bonvoy members. The restaurant also offers a full lunch and dinner menu, a bar with happy hour (additional charge), and a snack bar with coffee house. Kids' meals are available. Breakfast can be taken to go. Within a short walk, there are several quick-service options including Taco Bell, El Pollo Loco, and Jersey Mike's Subs, as well as sit-down restaurants like The Broken Yolk Cafe and Ka Prao Thai Cuisine. The bar is known for its friendly bartenders and serves wine and champagne. The hotel does not have a free breakfast option included with all rates.

Parking is US$38 per night for self-parking (public, on-site, no reservation possible); access to the gated lot is via key card. Daily housekeeping is included; additional dry cleaning and ironing services are available for a charge. The hotel welcomes pets (up to 2 per room) with a non-refundable fee of US$150 plus tax. Luggage storage is free, and express check-in/out is available.
