The entrance is off a narrow alley, which can make the property hard to find without specific directions. The area is busy, but many apartments are quiet thanks to soundproofing. This central location is excellent for families and groups wanting to walk to all major attractions.

Rooms feature air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Some apartments have canal views, while others overlook a courtyard or street. Beds are king or queen size plus a sofa bed in the living room. The apartments are generally spacious, though some are older and in need of renovation, and a few have reported issues with humidity, mould, and odours. The floor cooling system can be insufficient in hot weather, and some rooms have loud air conditioning units. For light sleepers, road-facing apartments can be noisy. The building has a lift, but it has been reported as out of service at times. Families can request cots.

Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the kitchen, which includes a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware. A supermarket is close by for groceries. Many restaurants, cafes, and bakeries are within a couple of minutes' walk, including Da Mamo, Bistrot de Venise, and Suso Gelatoteca. Coffee-making facilities are provided in the apartments.
