Hotel Rio's central San Marco location puts you within easy walking distance of major sights: Doge's Palace, St Mark's Basilica, and the Rialto Bridge are all nearby. The San Zaccaria waterbus stop (5 min walk) connects directly to Marco Polo Airport via the Alilaguna blue line and to Santa Lucia Station via lines 1 and 5.1. For Treviso Airport, take the ATVO shuttle to Piazzale Roma (70 min) then the waterbus. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the train station. The area is filled with restaurants, shops, and bars, while the immediate square around the hotel has several dining options. Though centrally located, some rooms in the annex face a quieter back alley.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, towels, free toiletries, and hairdryer. Amenities include air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen satellite TV, electric kettle, and in some rooms a fridge and safe. Rooms are generally compact, particularly bathrooms. A limited number of rooms are located in an annex building behind the main hotel, accessible via a service alley; these are quieter but have less attractive surroundings. No rooms have a balcony or connecting doors. The hotel has no elevator, so rooms are reached by stairs. Daily housekeeping is provided, with towels and bottled water replenished.

Breakfast includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, and hot drinks. Coffee specialties can be ordered. Breakfast can also be served in the room on request. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but dozens of eateries are within a 5-minute walk, including Italian and seafood options. Wine and champagne are available at the hotel. For self-catering, a mini-market is located on site.

The property has no wellness or leisure facilities. For relaxation, the surrounding area offers numerous cafés, bars, and Venetian cultural attractions easily reachable on foot.
