The motel sits directly across Ocean Avenue from the beach and the south end of the boardwalk at Cresse Avenue, so the beach is a one-minute walk. Wildwoods Convention Center is an 8-minute walk. The property offers free private parking on site with no reservation needed. During the season, the tramcar on the boardwalk and a trolley along the island provide easy transport. The surrounding area is packed with dining options - Dairy Queen, Adventurer Pancake House, Alex's Pizza, and Ocean View Grill are all within a 3-5 minute walk. An Acme market is 4 blocks away for groceries. The location is at the quieter end of the boardwalk, away from the busiest attractions, making it suitable for relaxed family stays.

The property offers a variety of accommodation types. Standard double rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, satellite TV, and air conditioning; they are available on all three floors. Larger suites and apartments add kitchenettes or full kitchens with stovetops, dishwashers, and washing machines. The Deluxe One Bedroom Suite is the only room type with a private balcony. Other rooms have at least two chairs outside for sitting. Some rooms have been recently renovated with modern decor. The two-bedroom apartment can be on the ground floor (request when booking). Rooms are noted for being exceptionally clean, comfortable, and spacious - especially the larger units. There is no elevator, so guests on upper floors use stairs. Standard rooms have compact bathrooms (as small as 1.4m x 2.1m in some units). All units have private bathrooms with hairdryer. Daily housekeeping is provided.

Sea Gull Motel does not have its own restaurant. Complimentary coffee and tea are served at the office from 8:15 am to noon daily. Vending machines offer drinks and snacks. Two natural gas BBQ grills are available in the picnic area, which also has tables and a sink. Many casual dining options are within a 3-5 minute walk, including Adventurer Pancake House (breakfast), Alex's Pizza, Ocean View Grill, Dairy Queen, and Hershey's Ice Cream. The outdoor pool is heated and open seasonally (approx. May through September, 10:00-20:00). It has a fence around it, a shallow end, and a separate toddler area, making it suitable for families with young children. Sun loungers and chairs are provided around the pool. A large sundeck with picnic tables and lounge chairs offers a partial ocean view. There is no spa or gym on the property. The beach is directly across the street and does not require a beach tag. The boardwalk with its parks and attractions is a one-minute walk. Nearby golf course (within 3 km) is available at an additional charge.
