The inn is ideally placed for exploring the historic district on foot. Southernmost Point is 350 metres away, the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory is a 5-minute walk, and the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is about 10 minutes. The quieter end of Duval Street means less foot traffic at night while still being a block from restaurants, bars, and shops. South Beach (a small stretch) is two blocks away; larger beaches like Higgs and Fort Zachary are a 15-20 minute walk or short drive. Several popular dining spots - including Banana Cafe, Camille's, and Ana's Cuban Cafe - are within a 5-minute walk. Parking is limited and paid, so walking or renting a bike is the most practical way to get around.

Room types vary: double rooms (some with kitchenette), king suites (with separate living area and sofa bed), and a small third-floor loft with low, slanted ceilings accessible only by stairs. More than half the rooms are on the ground floor; some have private balconies or shared deck space. All rooms include a private bathroom, air conditioning, a flat-screen cable TV, and a mini fridge. Microwaves and coffee makers are not in every room but are available 24/7 in the lobby. Rooms are generally compact - some are described as very small - and the tropical-themed decor can feel dated. Street-facing rooms may experience traffic noise, and upper-floor units can be affected by footsteps from above. Some rooms have limited power outlets and no closet (open shelving). Housekeeping is every two days; daily service can be requested.

The breakfast buffet includes Belgian waffles, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, coffee, and juices. Disposable plates and cutlery are used. The daily happy hour offers red and white wine, cheese, crackers, nuts, and sometimes fruit - a popular way to start the evening. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available free of charge 24 hours via a machine in the lobby. A vending machine provides snacks for purchase. For meals outside breakfast and happy hour, the surrounding streets are lined with restaurants, including Southernmost Beach Cafe, The Lobster Shack, and Camille's - all within a 5-minute walk. No restaurant or bar operates on site.

Both pools are heated and open year-round, surrounded by a garden with ample seating, sun loungers, and pool/beach towels provided. The hot tub is adjacent to one of the pools and popular for relaxing. A sun deck and large patio offer additional space to lounge. Coolers are allowed poolside (no glass). The fitness centre is small but functional. Bike rentals are offered on site for USD 15 for one day or USD 10 per day for multi-day rentals - a convenient way to explore the island. Other on-site activities include free happy hour, board games (puzzles), and a shared lounge/TV area. No spa or organised wellness programmes are available.

WiFi is free in all areas. The front desk offers concierge and tour assistance, and luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures - you can also use the pools after check-out. A shared lounge/TV area and vending machine are on site. Fax/photocopying is available for a fee. Security features include key card access, smoke alarms, and a security alarm. The property is wheelchair accessible with ground-floor rooms, lowered bathroom sinks, raised toilets, and ADA-compliant features, but there is no elevator - stairs only to upper floors.
