SPACE HOME APARTMENT - PRATER, Vienna

The hostel sits in a quiet street of Vienna's Leopoldstadt district, just 13 minutes from Vienna Prater and its park. Praterstern station (U1/U2, S7, tram O) is about a 10-minute walk away, giving direct connections to the city centre, Messe Wien (2 km), and Vienna International Airport (19 km). Kunst Haus Wien - Museum Hundertwasser is 2 km away, and St. Stephen's Cathedral is about a 25-minute walk. Cafés, restaurants and a minimarket are within a few blocks. The area is easy to navigate on foot or by public transport, and the walkable neighbourhood makes car-free stays very practical.

The accommodation consists of capsule-style pods arranged in a single room. Each capsule contains a comfortable single or double mattress with a flat-screen TV, a safe deposit box, adjustable internal lighting and ventilation, and a charging point. Shared bathrooms with spacious showers and hairdryers are located off the same room. The capsules provide more privacy than a traditional bunk-bed dormitory, but they are not soundproof: pod doors are noisy when opened or closed, and movement from the upper capsule is audible in the lower one. The capsules are suitable for a short budget stay and work well for travellers who need a bed, shower, and wifi rather than a living or social space. Towels are provided, and lockers are available for storing belongings.

The property does not have a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. The location compensates with several cafés and takeaway spots within a 5-minute walk: Cafe Nelke and Gasthaus Automat Welt are each 0.5 km away, and Ideenbaeckerei Geier, Schnitz'l Land, Mostlandl, Yudale, and Cafe Else are within 0.5 km. A minimarket on site sells basic groceries. Because there is no kitchen, fridge, or microwave, guests should plan to eat out or bring only non-perishable snacks. The area offers good variety for dining out.

The property operates via self-check-in: an entry code is sent before arrival, and there is no on-site reception. Staff are reachable by message or phone for support. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. Daily housekeeping covers common spaces. Lockers (150 x 40 x 50 cm) are available to store personal items, and luggage can be left in lockers until the afternoon after checkout. Air conditioning is free throughout. Express check-in/out is also available. While there is no on-site reception, staff provide support remotely, and the check-in process is designed to be quick and unstaffed.
