STARR PASS GOLF SUITES, Tucson

The property is situated next to Tucson Mountain Park, providing direct access to hiking trails and Saguaro National Park West. Downtown Tucson, with its restaurants and attractions, is a short drive away, as are the University of Arizona and Arizona Stadium (9 km). A car is necessary for getting around, as there are no shops or public transport within walking distance. Free private parking is available on site with no reservation needed.

One-bedroom suites are spacious (around 900 sq. ft.) and include a separate living room, dining area, full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, and often a washer/dryer, wood-burning fireplace, and private balcony. Studio units are more basic - essentially a hotel room with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The property has connecting doors between some units, but sound insulation between rooms is minimal, meaning noise from neighbouring units can be audible. Rooms may have an older, worn feel, with carpeted floors, stained bathtubs, and outdated decor in non-remodelled sections. Air conditioning and heating are available, and some suites offer views of the golf course, mountains, and city lights.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas, with reports of it being fast enough for remote work. Parking is free and on-site, with no reservation required, though the layout is in grouped lots rather than directly outside each unit. Housekeeping is not daily; towels and coffee can be requested at the front desk, but staff will not enter the room unless you are present. Laundry facilities (washer/dryer) are available in the larger suites but no guest laundry room exists. The check-in location is reported to be difficult to find - it is located to the right of the main entrance, around the outside of the building. Security deposit is $250. Payment methods include American Express, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. No pets are allowed.
