SONESTA SELECT PHOENIX CHANDLER, Kyrene

The Sonesta Select is located in a commercial area with easy access to the I-10 freeway, making it convenient for airport access and exploring the greater Phoenix area. Within a 0.5 km radius, there are numerous dining options including LongHorn Steakhouse, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, Smokin Fins, and several fast-casual choices. Several reviews note the area is quiet at night despite the nearby highways, and the neighborhood feels safe. While a car or rideshare is needed for airport trips, basic necessities and a variety of meals are within a comfortable walking distance.

The hotel's cafe, The Commons at Sonesta Select, serves a paid breakfast (continental and breakfast sandwiches, pastries) on weekends from 07:00-10:00. Breakfast is not included in the room rate and must be pre-ordered or requested upon arrival; a la carte items like cinnamon rolls and coffee are also available for purchase. There is no full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the hotel's location places it within a two-minute walk of several restaurants, including a popular breakfast spot (Bisbee Breakfast Club), steakhouses, and fast-casual options. Coffee is available for a fee; a Starbucks is located across the street.

The courtyard features a heated outdoor pool and a free hot tub, both open year-round. Guests have access to a free fitness centre and a business centre. The pool area offers sun loungers, towels, and multiple seating options including covered areas. While some reviews note that pool furniture shows some wear, the overall space is described as clean, quiet, and family-friendly. The courtyard is well-maintained and provides a pleasant green space for relaxing.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a 24-hour front desk, and free luggage storage. Practical amenities include a laundry facility ($2 per load) and a small on-site minimarket. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, and safety deposit boxes. The business centre and meeting/banquet facilities are available for a fee. The hotel is equipped with an elevator and accessible parking. While housekeeping is not automatic, daily requests can be made. Direct room-to-room calls are not always answered, but the front desk staff are generally described as friendly and helpful.
