The hostel sits in the 19th arrondissement along the lively Canal Saint-Martin, offering a less touristy neighbourhood feel. Crime Metro (line 5) is a 3-minute walk, providing direct connections to Gare du Nord (15 minutes) and the Louvre (20 minutes). The Cite des Sciences is 950 metres away, and Les Docks de Paris event venue is 3 km. Three free outdoor pools open mid-June to mid-September are in the area, alongside water sports and cruises. The immediate streets have several restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets within a 5-minute walk. Public transport to Charles de Gaulle airport takes about 1 hour via RER B and metro; an optional paid airport shuttle can be arranged.

All dormitories have shared bathrooms with showers and toilets; private rooms are available with either shared or private bathroom. Each bed is fitted with a privacy curtain, personal reading light, USB and European plugs, and a large metal locker (bring your own long-shackle padlock or buy one at reception for €5). Rooms include heating and an electric kettle; some have a sink, table, balcony, or terrace. The property has no air conditioning, and windows may be limited in opening, making rooms hot in summer - rooms facing the canal or bar can experience outside noise until late. Beds are comfortable but metal-framed and can creak with movement; the locker doors are heavy and noisy when opened. Daily cleaning is provided for rooms and bathrooms.

Belushi's serves breakfast (07:30-10:00), brunch, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is a continental buffet with bread, pastries, cereals, fruit, hot drinks, and eggs - priced at €5-€7. The dinner menu includes burgers, fries, and other American-style dishes; guests receive 25% off food. Happy hour runs from 14:00-22:00. A coffee machine and vending machine are available in the common lounge. There is no self-catering kitchen - only a microwave and hot water are provided. Several restaurants, pizzerias, and takeaway options are within a 2-minute walk along the canal.

The hostel organises free activities every day, including walking tours of the canal area, cocktail-making classes, wine tastings, happy hour, and live music or DJ sets. The on-site bar also broadcasts live sport events and has board games. The Bassin de la Villette features three free outdoor swimming pools open from mid-June to mid-September, plus water sports and cruises. A study lounge and shared lounge with TV are inside the hostel. There is no spa, gym, or private pool on the property.

WiFi is free in all areas but requires reconnection via a pop-up window - email and date of birth needed. The 24-hour front desk can assist with express check-in/out, luggage storage fees (big locker €8/day, small locker €6/day), and arranging the paid airport shuttle.
