The lodge is 2 km from Sedona city center, a 10-minute drive to Red Rock State Park, and 15 minutes to Slide Rock State Park. Sedona Airport is 3 km away. Public transport (Verde Shuttle) stops less than a block away, offering car-free access to Uptown and trailheads. Three hiking trail heads are within 2 km. Guests can walk to grocery stores, Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen (0.5 km), The Vault Uptown (0.5 km), and a Starbucks across the street. Free parking is available right outside each room.

Rooms are spacious with carpeted floors, heating, electric blankets, and a work desk. Some feature a walk-in shower. The decor is retro and dated, reflecting a 1950s motor-lodge feel. Bed firmness varies - some find beds very soft, others firm or lumpy; if a specific firmness is important, inquire when booking. Rooms facing the main road have single-glazed windows and can experience traffic noise; quieter rooms are available on request. Air conditioning units can be noisy. No balconies. Smoking is only permitted in a designated outdoor area with seating. Expect a clean but older interior; musty smells have been noted in some rooms.

The snack bar includes coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, granola bars, packaged donuts, muffins, and peanut butter crackers - a self-serve takeaway setup in the office. There is no restaurant or cooked breakfast on site. Several restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, including Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen, Domino's, and a weekend taco truck. The pool is open seasonally from approximately April through October, weather permitting. It is fenced and fitted with sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels. The hot tub is heated year-round. Both facilities operate daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. The pool area also features BBQ grills and an outdoor fireplace. For active guests, three hiking trail heads are within 2 km, and cycling routes are nearby. The property is single-story with easy ground-floor access.

Parking is free and on-site; no reservation needed. RVs can be accommodated. Security features include key access, CCTV, and smoke alarms. Daily housekeeping is included.
