SUPER 8 BY WYNDHAM AUSTIN UNIVERSITY/DOWNTOWN AREA, Austin

Each room includes a flat-screen TV with premium cable channels, a coffee maker, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and heating. A private bathroom with a bathtub and shower is standard, along with free toiletries. However, the motel's older construction means that mattresses, pillows, and bedding may show wear, and road-facing rooms can pick up highway noise. Many rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. The lift provides access to upper floors for those with luggage.

The daily breakfast includes self-made waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, and cereal, with coffee available. The breakfast area is compact and can become busy during peak times. A vending machine provides additional snacks and drinks. The surrounding area has multiple quick-service restaurants within a short drive, including P. Terry's Burger Stand and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, which offer a wider range of hot meals beyond what the motel provides.

The outdoor swimming pool is open all year but is not heated, making it most enjoyable in warmer months. Pool towels and sun loungers are provided. The hot tub/jacuzzi is available but not always well-maintained. The property also has a garden with an outdoor fireplace, BBQ facilities, and a picnic area, offering spaces for relaxation outdoors.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The business centre offers free copy, fax, and print services. A self-serve launderette is on site, and laundry service is available for an additional charge. The 24-hour front desk provides luggage storage and can arrange taxi transport. A safety deposit box, CCTV, and key card access are in place. The property is pet-friendly with applicable fees. Daily housekeeping is free, but entry is by request only.
