SUPER 8 BY WYNDHAM CHARLOTTE UNIVERSITY, Charlotte

The hotel sits right off Interstate 85, placing major Charlotte attractions within a 15-minute drive: Charlotte Motor Speedway, Bank of America Stadium, and the city center. UNC Charlotte is 10 minutes away. Downtown is reachable in about 10 minutes by car. The immediate area has a gas station, convenience store, and several restaurants within walking distance, including Texas Ranch Steakhouse just 0.5 km away. The Sugar Creek area is known for high crime; the hotel is best suited for travelers arriving by car who will drive directly to their destinations. On-site security patrols the property, but valuables should never be left visible in parked vehicles.

Each room includes a private bathroom with a bath and hairdryer, cable TV, a work desk, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Suites are equipped with a microwave and small refrigerator. Double and quadruple rooms are available with either 1 or 2 beds; some first-floor rooms offer ADA access with one queen bed. All rooms are air-conditioned and heated, with parquet floors, a flat-screen TV, an alarm clock, and free toiletries. Rooms facing the road are likely noisier from highway and siren sounds. The property has no elevator. Guests wanting a lower floor can request a room on the ground floor for easier access. Bed firmness varies; some find the mattresses comfortable while others prefer a softer surface.

Breakfast is a basic continental offering available each morning: bagels, muffins, cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit (apples), coffee, and juice. The hotel has no on-site restaurant, but a vending machine with snacks and drinks is available 24/7. Several dining options are within a very short walk or drive, including Texas Ranch Steakhouse & Saloon just 0.5 km away. For guests wanting a fuller meal, the surrounding area has fast food and casual restaurants accessible by car. Breakfast hours may end by 9 AM.
