HOTEL TEXAS, Rome

Located on a side street, the hotel is within a 10-minute walk of the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, and about 20 minutes on foot from the Colosseum. The Vatican Museums are a few metro stops away via Repubblica station. Termini station is 10 minutes' walk, providing direct rail and bus connections to both Rome's airports and other cities like Naples and Florence. Numerous restaurants, cafes and shops are within 300 metres on the surrounding streets. The area is walkable and well-connected by metro, bus and tram.

Room types include simple rooms with a shared bathroom or, in a few cases, a private bathroom. Standard room features include a wardrobe, desk and chair, carpeted flooring, heating, and a fan for cooling. Bathrooms are shared, with the shower floor flush to the rest of the floor and a shower curtain rather than a full enclosure. Some rooms have an in-room sink. Rooms are equipped with an AM/FM alarm clock and hi-fi, but no television or telephone. Space can be limited; some rooms are described as small with no bedside tables or room to open luggage. The building is older and carpet may show wear. Soundproofing is minimal, so street and corridor noise can be audible.

Dining options include the property's day-and-night bar and an on-site coffee house. Breakfast can be purchased and is a sweet continental buffet with items such as pastries and hot drinks. Room service and breakfast in the room are offered. For further dining, the surrounding streets are lined with restaurants, bistros, and pastry shops within a 300-metre radius, including Italian, Chinese, and wine-bar options. The staff can provide recommendations and assist with restaurant bookings.

The property offers free Wi-Fi throughout. Daily housekeeping is included, and laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are available for an additional charge. The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/check-out, private check-in, a tour desk, concierge, free luggage storage, and lockers. A business centre with fax/photocopying is accessible for free. An airport shuttle can be arranged for a fee, and car hire is also possible. The hotel has a vintage elevator and is located on the upper floors of the building. Safety features include key access, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, 24-hour security and a safety deposit box. No pets are allowed and the entire property is non-smoking.
