The property's location is a key strength. Set on spacious parkland with ponds and lawns, it is 4 km from Tanglewood Musical Center, offering easy access to concerts and events. The surrounding towns of Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington are a short drive away, providing a wide range of dining, shopping, and historical attractions. The nearest major airport is Albany International Airport, 64 km away. Free on-site parking makes the car the most practical way to explore the region.

The Ponds at Foxhollow offers spacious apartment-style accommodations. One-bedroom units (Westinghouse) are on the ground floor and include one bathroom. Two-bedroom units (Vanderbilt) are on the second floor and include two separate bathrooms. All units feature a living room, dining area, a well-equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Bedrooms typically contain either a double or queen bed; twin beds are not available. Each unit includes a private bathroom with a tub (some units have walk-in showers). Many rooms also have a fireplace, a private patio or terrace, and in-unit washer/dryer. While the units are spacious and comfortable, some are dated and have reported issues with maintenance, cleanliness, and older appliances.

The Ponds at Foxhollow does not have a restaurant or bar. All units are equipped with a full kitchen (stovetop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, and utensils), making self-catering straightforward. Coffee and tea are provided at check-in, with additional supplies available for purchase at the front desk. For dining out, the nearby towns of Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington offer a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and ice cream venues. This setup is well suited for longer stays or families who prefer the flexibility of cooking their own meals.

Wellness facilities include an indoor pool (open year-round), a seasonal outdoor pool, a fitness centre, and a sauna. The sauna and locker rooms are free to use. Leisure activities are plentiful: free bicycle rental, tennis courts (with free equipment), a children's playground, and a games room.
