The hotel sits in a central but relatively quiet area, just a few minutes' walk from the main shopping street Karl Johans Gate and many city sights. The National Gallery is about 3 minutes away, and the Royal Castle is 750 metres from the property. It is easily reachable from Oslo Airport by taking the airport train to the National Theater station and walking 9 minutes up Universitetsgaten. Many restaurants, bars, and cafés are within a 5-minute walk along the main street, and the central station is also walkable.

Rooms are on the smaller side, with wooden floors and a work desk. Each has a private bathroom with underfloor heating and a shower. The room includes a kettle, but there are no cups or tea/coffee provided in the room-these can be bought at the 24-hour reception. There is no wardrobe or safe in the room, only a small rail; the carpeting may look worn. Lighting can be very dim, with some rooms lacking ceiling lights. Windows in some rooms may not open well, and there is no air conditioning, so rooms can feel warm in summer-a fan is available. Road-facing rooms may be less suitable for light sleepers due to noise, while rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter.

Breakfast is a buffet with a good variety, including fresh fruit, organic items, hot and cold dishes, gluten-free options, and sometimes different items each day. It is available on weekdays from 06:30-10:00 and weekends 07:30-11:00. Guests who need to leave before breakfast starts the previous day can order a breakfast bag to pick up at reception. No restaurant or bar is on site, but drinks, snacks, and coffee/tea can be purchased at the 24-hour reception.

There is no gym, spa, or pool at the property. The hotel does not offer any leisure or sports facilities. The central location makes it practical to explore Oslo's sights on foot, and nearby parks and the waterfront are within easy walking distance.
