TOKYU STAY YOTSUYA - SHINJUKU AREA, Tokyo

The hotel sits in a quieter residential neighbourhood, a short walk from Yotsuya Station which serves multiple JR and subway lines. Shinjuku, Ginza and Shibuya are all within 10-15 minutes by train. A Family Mart is directly below the hotel, with a pharmacy and supermarket also nearby. Over 10 restaurants are within 300 metres, and the area has a lively local bar and restaurant strip a few blocks away. For airport transfers, use the Airport Limousine bus to Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho (20-minute walk) or take a train from Narita (50 minutes) or Haneda (50 minutes). Taxis to Haneda take about an hour.

Standard double rooms (25 m2) and twin rooms include a small balcony with city views, a private bathroom with bath and shower, plus a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator and electric kettle. All rooms have a private washing machine and dryer, air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen satellite TV, safe deposit box, nightwear and slippers. Triple rooms have 4 beds and a similar setup. Extra beds are available for twin B and triple rooms. The property is older and some units show wear, but well-equipped for practical stays. Rooms near the elevator on upper floors tend to be quiet. Some rooms have a double fridge which can take up space. The bathrooms are compact, which may be tight for taller travellers. Daily housekeeping is not included by default.

Breakfast is not a full buffet - it is a takeaway kit consisting of dry toast wrapped in plastic and a soup packet to be microwaved in your room, plus a drink. It can be purchased at the front desk and eaten in your room or the lounge. The lounge offers free coffee, tea and sparkling water throughout the day, and from 3-7 PM also serves sparkling syrup, alcoholic beverages, and light snacks such as bread and other light meals. The hotel has no dedicated restaurant, but the surrounding streets (within 300 metres) include many dining options such as Indian, Japanese and international restaurants, plus a Family Mart and pharmacy directly below.

There is no swimming pool, spa, gym or sauna on site. For leisure, the free lounge is available with complimentary coffee, tea and sparkling water (with added light snacks and alcoholic drinks from 3 to 7 PM). The surrounding quiet residential neighbourhood is pleasant for walks, and a rock climbing gym is located on the ground floor of the hotel building.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage (before check-in and after check-out), dry cleaning (surcharge), laundry services (surcharge) and courier/parcel delivery (Kuroneko Yamato). A shared lounge with a TV and free coffee/tea is available. On-site private parking is available for ¥1500 per day and requires a reservation. The hotel has a lift, CCTV, key card access and smoke alarms. Accepts American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, UC and MasterCard. No airport shuttle. Children under 6 stay free when sharing a bed.
