THE TOWNHOUSE HOTEL, Amsterdam

Located at the edge of the city centre, the hotel is a 20-minute walk from the Nine Streets shopping area and a 30-minute walk from the Anne Frank House. The tram stop is very close (2 minutes), providing direct routes to Central Station. The surrounding Utrechtsestraat is filled with bars, restaurants, and cafés. The location is well-suited for exploring on foot or by public transport. A car is not needed; if driving, public parking is available a 10-12 minute walk away.

The hotel offers rooms with shared or private bathroom facilities. Some rooms have a private shower with a shared toilet. All rooms include a sink, cable TV, and coffee/tea making facilities. Room sizes can be very small, suitable for short stays. Rooms on the ground floor near the entrance are particularly noisy due to the front door slamming and foot traffic. Soundproofing is limited, and noise from neighbouring rooms and the street can be an issue. Rooms facing away from the road are generally quieter. Stairs are narrow and steep; there is no lift. All rooms have windows. Canal views are available in some rooms.

There is no restaurant, bar, or breakfast service on site. The Utrechtsestraat, just around the corner, is lined with bars, restaurants, and cafés, including several options within 0.5 km such as Meat&Greek, Ku Kitchen & Bar, and Cheesy Cakes. Guests planning a meal will need to eat out. A tea/coffee maker is provided in each room.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. The shared lounge/TV area provides a common space for relaxation.
