Many restaurants, bars, and shops are in the immediate area, and the city centre is about a 25-30 minute walk. The street is notably quiet, allowing for restful sleep despite the central location. For those driving, paid street parking is available from 09:00 until midnight, and parking at Oosterdok near Central Station with a metro connection is a practical alternative.
