NINE STREETS INN, Amsterdam

The Nine Streets (De Negen Straatjes) are a micro-neighbourhood of vintage shops, designer boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants in 17th- and 18th-century stepped-gabled buildings. A 2-minute walk to Dam Square, 500 m to Anne Frank House, and 700 m to the Royal Palace. Amsterdam Museum (500 m), Begijnhof (600 m), and the Red Light District (900 m) are all accessible on foot. The Rokin metro station is about 10 minutes' walk away, and bus 397 from Schiphol Airport stops about 10 minutes from the property. The area is vibrant during the day but surprisingly quiet at night - the neighbourhood is calmer than other parts of Amsterdam.

Each room has a flat-screen Smart TV with Netflix, a Nespresso machine, an electric kettle, a mini fridge, and parquet flooring. Both rooms face the rear, keeping them quiet even though the street bustles with activity. Rooms are spacious, clean, and bright with large windows that open (useful since there is no air conditioning). The internal temperature stays comfortable even in winter. Towels are provided. There is no balcony and no separate beds - each room has one double bed that cannot be split. The rooms are on the second floor with steep stairs; no lift is available.

A continental or to-go breakfast can be arranged for €25. Within a 5-minute walk are dozens of dining options: 't Zwaantje next door serves very good food (reservations recommended), Thai Fusion, Venus & Adonis, Restaurant Envy, and many more. A Jumbo supermarket is nearby for self-catering. There is no on-site restaurant or bar.

The property does not have a spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre. The Nine Streets neighbourhood itself offers the best leisure - vintage shopping, art galleries, and many bars and restaurants. For a stroll, the Jordaan area (150 m) and the canal belts provide a calm, scenic environment. Anne Frank House is 500 m away.

Free Wi-Fi with 241 Mbps speed ensures smooth 4K streaming and video calls. Luggage storage is available after checkout: you can leave bags under the staircase on the second floor at your own risk - it is not a locked area. A paid secure storage is also available 600 m away. Check-in is flexible with door codes, and the host lives in the building.
