TOWNEPLACE SUITES BY MARRIOTT JACKSONVILLE EAST, Jacksonville

The hotel sits along a busy commercial corridor with easy access to I-95. The immediate area is walkable: Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Five Guys, and a frozen yogurt shop are all within 0.5 km. Two coffee shops are located right outside. For longer errands, Walmart and Publix are a short drive away. The beach is about a 20-minute drive, and Jacksonville Beach Golf Club is 7 km from the property. Mayo Clinic is only 8 minutes by car. A shuttle to the clinic is available upon request. The area is safe and well-lit at night, but a car is recommended for visiting attractions further afield like Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park (14 km).

All rooms are equipped with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop, plus sufficient dishes and cookware. Two-bedroom suites are also available. Beds are consistently described as comfortable, and rooms are clean and spacious, with good closet and storage space. The rooms are well-insulated: despite the hotel being on a busy road, noise is minimal. Rooms facing away from the road are even quieter. Handicap-accessible rooms are available with roll-in showers and grab bars. Some units have a separate bedroom with a door separating the king bed from the sofa bed in the living area. Allergy-free rooms and a designated smoking area are available.

The free breakfast is a standard continental buffet with hot items such as eggs and sausage, plus bread, pastries, yogurt, and a coffee service that runs most of the day. It provides a reliable morning meal but the hot options repeat daily, so those staying longer may find it limited. Special diet menus are available on request. For variety, the hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants within a 0.5-km walk, including Daruma Japanese Steak House, Mambos Cuban Cafe, and Miller's Ale House. The full kitchen in each room makes it easy to prepare snacks or meals, especially for extended stays.

The hotel offers free public parking on site with no reservation needed. The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-in, luggage storage, and arranging Uber pickups. A business centre with a computer and internet is available. Laundry services are available at an additional charge. The property is wheelchair accessible, with a lift, raised toilets, grab rails, and braille signage. Safety features include 24-hour security, key card access, in-room safes, and smoke alarms. Pets are allowed on request for a fee of $85. A premium high-speed internet option costs $4.95 per day. Meeting and banquet facilities are also available for an extra cost.
