The 510 streetcar on Spadina Avenue is a short walk away and connects directly to Union Station in about 15-20 minutes, while Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is 4 km away (a 20-minute walk or short cab ride). Major attractions such as the Royal Ontario Museum (2 km), Queen's Park (2 km), and the University of Toronto (15 minutes on foot) are all within easy walking or tram distance. The area is excellent for walkers, with Chinatown, restaurants, and boutique shops immediately accessible. However, the street is also home to a homeless shelter, so there is a visible homeless presence in the vicinity, which some may find unsettling, particularly at night. For those driving, on-street parking is limited and paid parking nearby is recommended.

Accommodation options include 4-bed, 6-bed, and 8-bed mixed dorms, as well as female-only 4-bed dorms and a limited number of private double rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and heated, though some window air-conditioning units can be noisy. The private double rooms offer a desk, lamp, and USB chargers, and a shared bathroom.
