TURATI MAISON D'HOTES, Rome

Turati Maison D'Hotes sits 300 metres from Roma Termini station, offering direct rail links to airports (Ciampino 14 km) and metro access (Vittorio Emanuele, 8-minute walk). Santa Maria Maggiore is 400 metres away, the Colosseum is 2 km, and Domus Aurea is a 16-minute stroll. The building is situated in a lively area with numerous restaurants on the same street. The central position means most major sights are reachable on foot, but the proximity to Termini also means the surroundings can feel crowded and street noise is frequent.

Accommodation options include double, single, and quadruple rooms. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The double rooms feature city-view balconies, while the single room has a small window facing the internal courtyard. The quadruple room includes a balcony with inner courtyard views and three beds. Rooms also contain a wardrobe, safe deposit box, private entrance, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. The property is set in an older building, and internal soundproofing is limited; noise from the corridor, neighbouring rooms, and the street is common. Bed comfort is generally rated as good, with soft mattresses and pillows.

There is no on-site restaurant or breakfast service. The shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and basic utensils, and is stocked with free coffee, tea, and bottled water. Fresh fruit and bread are sometimes available. Over eight restaurants, including Trattoria Angelo and Alfredo Ristorante, are within a 300-metre walk of the property, offering extensive dining options for lunch and dinner without needing to travel.

Wi-Fi is free and capable of streaming 4K content across multiple devices. The property offers a shared kitchen, a lift (though its reliability is inconsistent), and daily housekeeping. A 24-hour reception is not staffed, but the host is responsive via phone and can assist with luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. Safety features include a safe deposit box, 24-hour security, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Currency exchange and invoice provision are available. No parking or pet facilities exist.
