SAMESUN HOLLYWOOD HOTEL & HOSTEL, Los Angeles

The hostel sits at the heart of Hollywood Boulevard, with the Walk of Fame literally at the doorstep. The Hollywood/Highland Metro station is directly across the street, providing a one-stop connection to Universal Studios and easy access to downtown LA and Koreatown. Runyon Canyon, Sunset Strip, and numerous restaurants, bars, and shops are within walking distance. The nearest airport is LAX, about 20 km away. Note that the area is busy day and night, particularly around major events. For guests arriving by car, there is no on-site parking; the Ovation Hollywood parking garage is the closest option.

The hostel offers private rooms and shared dormitories (mixed and female-only) with 2, 4, 6, or 8 beds. Every bed has a privacy curtain, personal reading light, and shelf. Rooms have hardwood floors, ceiling fans, and air conditioning (remote from reception). All bathrooms are shared and separated by gender. Some rooms overlook Hollywood Boulevard and have city views, while rooms away from the street are quieter. The property has no elevator, and some rooms are on upper floors. Bed quality is firm but some mattresses show wear. Towels are provided free of charge, and lockers are available - bring your own lock or buy one at reception.

Breakfast is a basic continental buffet with bagels, toast, butter, jam, oranges, and hot drinks. It is included in the rate and served in the common area. The kitchen is available for guest use, equipped with stainless steel refrigerators, a microwave, and a rice cooker. There is no restaurant on site, but vending machines offer snacks and drinks. Many cafés, restaurants, and fast-food outlets are within a two-minute walk along Hollywood Boulevard.

The common lounge features plenty of seating, a pool table, and table football. Board games and puzzles are also available. There is free daily housekeeping, and a 24-hour front desk. The area around the property is very walkable, with Runyon Canyon hiking trails nearby.
