WATANA HOTEL, Bangkok

The hotel is within a short walking distance of Sutthisan MRT station, providing direct access to the city's metro network. This makes reaching attractions like Chatuchak Weekend Market (5 km) and Central World (8 km) straightforward. The surrounding area has convenience stores, restaurants, and massage places within a few minutes' walk. For drivers, free on-site parking is available but requires a reservation. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, but accessing further-flung areas or the airport (20 km) is most practical by taxi or the paid airport shuttle.

Accommodation options include double, twin, triple, and family rooms, some with balconies offering city views. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a private bathroom (some with a bathtub), a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and a safety deposit box. Family rooms are notably large and some have two bathrooms. Room cleanliness is generally good, though the property shows its age. Some maintenance issues like mold in fridges, cockroaches, and ants have been reported. Beds can be hard with uncomfortable pillows, and sound insulation is weak, especially from hallway noise. Rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter.

The outdoor swimming pool is open all year and provides a refreshing option after a day in the city. It is generally well-maintained. Note that the pool area gets direct sunlight for only about two hours in the morning and is often shaded, which means the water can be cool. The pool is located on the rooftop, offering some city views, but the surrounding lounge chairs have been noted as damaged. There is no spa, gym, sauna, or other leisure facilities on the property.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property, though some rooms may experience weak signals. Daily housekeeping is included and provides fresh towels and water. Laundry and ironing services are available for an additional charge. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service and luggage storage. An airport shuttle can be arranged for a fee. The hotel also has a lift, a barber/beauty shop, a minimarket on site, and an ATM. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access.
