WINGATE BY WYNDHAM CHICAGO SCHAUMBURG, Schaumburg

The hotel sits just off I-90, providing convenient access to O'Hare Airport within a 20-minute drive. It is 4 km from Woodfield Mall and within walking distance of numerous dining options including Richard Walker's Pancake House, Jimmy John's, and Panda Express, all 0.5 km away. The area is a quiet corporate park, making it safe for evening walks or jogs. For getting around without a car, taxi and ride-sharing services are available. Parking is ample and free, so driving to nearby attractions is straightforward. Guests using the EV charging station should have a backup charging plan, as the on-site units may not be functional.

Accommodation options range from double rooms with two queen beds to suites with separate seating areas, pull-out sofa sleepers, and jetted or spa tubs. All rooms feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a wardrobe, safe, and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms on the ground floor are available. While rooms are large, the property shows wear - some units have outdated decor, peeling wallpaper, and noisy heating or exhaust fans. Road-facing rooms and those on upper floors may experience noise from hallways or floors above. The property does not have adjoining rooms. For a quieter stay, request a room away from the elevator and on a higher floor.

The breakfast buffet typically includes scrambled eggs, pork sausage, pancakes from a pancake machine, fresh fruit, oatmeal, juices, and coffee. While the variety is standard for a hotel of this class, it provides sufficient options to start the day. The breakfast area is kept clean and is managed by attentive staff. For those seeking additional choices, a number of restaurants and cafes are within a 5-minute walk. The hotel also has a 24-hour lobby coffee station, vending machines for snacks and drinks, and a minimarket on site.
