Wombat's City Hostel London is located on Dock Street in the Tower Hamlets area, just 600 metres from Aldgate East and Tower Hill stations (District, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines) and 700 metres from Tower Bridge. The DLR at Shadwell is a 7-minute walk, offering direct links to London City Airport. Major attractions like the Tower of London, Borough Market, St Paul's Cathedral, and the Tate Modern are within a 15-20 minute walk or short Tube ride. The immediate vicinity has a wide selection of cafés, pubs, restaurants, and a mini-market within 0.5 km. Transportation access is straightforward: from Heathrow take the Piccadilly line and change at South Kensington; from Gatwick take a train to London Bridge or Victoria and then the District line to Aldgate East. No airport shuttle is available-the cheapest option to Stansted is the Tube to Liverpool Street then a train.

Breakfast is available daily from 7:00 to 10:30 AM for an additional charge of £7.40-£8. It is a continental buffer that includes bread rolls, toast, ham, cheese, hummus, homemade porridge, granola with yogurt, fruit salad, veggie sticks, and unlimited coffee and tea (including oat milk alternatives). The size and variety are practical but not extensive-useful for a quick start. The WomBAR on the lower ground floor is open from 1 PM to 1:30 AM and serves an affordable menu of gourmet toasts (including vegan options), along with a selection of draft beer (collaboration brews from Bevog and Signature Brew), cider (BlakStoc), biodynamic Wieninger wines, and a range of drinks. The WomCAFÉ (open 7 AM-5 PM) serves the house-roast coffee, pastries, and snacks. There is no restaurant on site, but a fully equipped guest kitchen is available for self-catering, with appliances, a fridge, and some shared condiments. A wide variety of cafés, pubs, and supermarkets are within a 2-5 minute walk.

The hostel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or gym. Leisure activities are concentrated in the lower-ground-floor WomBAR and common area, which features a pool table, table football, ping pong, and board games. There is also a yoga class available on site. Daily entertainment includes comedy nights, pub quizzes, karaoke, and the WomBEATS concert series with free live music from international artists multiple times per week. The bar has a happy hour until 8 PM. The common area also has plenty of sofas, charging points, and a small outdoor terrace/garden area where smoking is allowed. The atmosphere is social and lively, especially in the evenings.
