The hostel sits directly across from Central Station, a two-minute walk from the train that connects directly to Sydney International Airport (10 km). The Haymarket light rail stop is at the doorstep, offering easy access to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, and Chinatown (just 0.3-0.5 km away). Most city landmarks are within walking distance or a short tram ride. For those arriving by car, the hostel offers limited on-site parking (reservation required) but the streets can be busy and clearway-restricted.

Options range from shared dormitories (mixed and female-only) to private double, twin, and family rooms. Private rooms offer ensuites, flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and toiletries; some feature rooftop pool access. Dorms provide individual lockers, curtains for privacy on some beds, reading lights, and shared bathrooms with hairdryers. Rooms can feel small and lack a wardrobe or table in the most basic options. Noise from the light rail, street, and slamming internal doors is common-light sleepers may want earplugs. The building has wheelchair-accessible rooms and elevators to all floors.

inCafe serves breakfast (7:00-9:30), brunch, lunch, and dinner with Italian and Australian cuisine, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The continental breakfast features croissants, muffins, juices, cereal, bread, coffee, and tea. The basement bar, Schirrmo's, is open most evenings. Two large communal kitchens, open 24/7 and equipped with stoves, fridges, and microwaves, allow self-catering. Many Asian and international restaurants are a short walk away in Chinatown.

The pool is on the rooftop and is accessed via stairs from level 8 (the lift does not go all the way). It is open year-round. The sun terrace offers panoramic views of the city. Daily free activities are organised on-site, including walking tours, movie nights with free popcorn, karaoke, pizza nights, rooftop BBQs, and evening entertainment such as comedy nights and Drag Queen Bingo. A cinema room and a shared lounge/TV area are also available for leisure.

WiFi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk allows late arrivals. Luggage storage is available via free lockers (bring your own padlock) or paid lockers behind reception. Laundry costs AUD 4 per wash and AUD 4 per dry. The hostel offers a minimarket, vending machines, car hire, accessible parking, and a tour desk.
