AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT SAN DIEGO DOWNTOWN GASLAMP QUARTER, San Diego

The hotel sits on Fifth Avenue in the centre of San Diego's nightlife district, with bars and clubs operating until 2-3am. While this provides unmatched access to entertainment, it also means street noise is significant, especially on weekend nights. The Convention Centre is less than 1 km away, San Diego International Airport is 4 km, and Seaport Village and Little Italy are within a short walk or ride. Public transport (trolley and bus) is easily accessible, and walking is the best way to explore the area. Valet parking is available, but off-site garages offer lower rates.

Breakfast is available weekdays 6:30-10am and weekends 7-11am, featuring a European-style spread with local specialities, warm dishes, juice, cheese, and fruits. Dinner at AC Lounge runs from 5pm to 11:30pm (until midnight on Friday and Saturday) with a modern, family-friendly menu. The rooftop bar operates seasonally (usually Thursday-Saturday) and offers cocktails and light bites. Snack bar and room service are also available. For those wanting a wider selection, the surrounding Gaslamp district has countless dining options within a short walk.

The rooftop pool is open daily 9am-8pm (weather permitting) and is heated to 81-28 °C year-round. It features a pool bar and sun loungers, but can be busy on weekends - pool parties sometimes occur, limiting general access. The fitness centre is free and includes cardio and weight equipment, plus yoga and fitness classes. Additional paid options: massage, golf (within 3 km), and various tours. The hotel also offers free evening entertainment such as karaoke, movie nights, and live music, plus walking tours (additional charge). There is no jacuzzi on site.

Parking is valet-only at $62 per night; the nearest off-site garage (Horton Plaza, 4th & F) is about $15 per night. The hotel offers express check-in/out, free luggage storage, and a 24-hour front desk. Business services include a business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, and fax/photocopying. Accessibility features: wheelchair-accessible entrance, raised toilets, grab rails, Braille and tactile signs. Safety includes CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. Daily housekeeping is provided; dry cleaning available for a fee. Pets allowed (charges apply). Minimum age to check in is 21.
