Downtown Victoria is within a 10-15 minute walk, and Steve Fonyo Beach lies 2 km away. The area is lively during the day but quiet at night, making it ideal for a harbour-edge stay where you can watch seals, otters, and boats right from the deck. The location is excellent for walking: most of the city's attractions, restaurants, and bike trails are easily reachable without needing a car.

The property offers two downstairs rooms (Ivy and Poppy) both with queen beds, private bathrooms with a shower, bathrobes, free toiletries, tea/coffee maker, mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. The Poppy room can accommodate up to 4 guests using a queen blow-up bed, making it suitable for small families or groups. Each room has its own private patio or balcony directly over the water, ideal for watching harbour activity. The host lives upstairs, but the space feels private and quiet; the rooms are well-insulated from sound. All rooms have heating and no air conditioning - windows on the water offer cooling. The decor is clean, cosy, and well-equipped, and the absence of a TV encourages relaxation.

A continental breakfast (coffee, tea, pastries, fruit) is provided directly in the room using the in-room kettle and mini fridge. Guests can hire bikes (stored inside the room), take walking tours, go pub crawls, or book whale-watching tours that depart directly from the wharf. The wharf is also a starting point for hiking and cycling trails, including routes to downtown and along the waterfront.
