While the immediate neighborhood is convenient, some streets near the hostel have a higher presence of people experiencing homelessness; those traveling alone may prefer to use rideshares after dark.

Private rooms include a 40-inch flat-screen cable TV, desk, and private bathroom. Family rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs. Dorm rooms house 4-6 beds and use shared bathroom facilities (2 showers, 3 toilets per floor). Beds are wooden and can be squeaky; mattresses are thin. There are no curtains for privacy on bunk beds, and power outlets are limited to one per room, not near the bunks. Reading lights on some bunks are non-functional. Air conditioning is available in some rooms; fans are provided. Rooms on lower floors may have small windows and feel darker. Noise transfer from hallways and outside is significant.

Breakfast includes waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, bread with peanut butter and jam, juice, and coffee. There is no on-site restaurant or bar.
